• England to play two spinners for final Ashes Test at The Oval
England have sprung a selection surprise for the fifth Test against Australia after naming Simon Kerrigan and Chris Woakes to make their debuts at The Oval.
With Tim Bresnan injured, the line-up was always going to include at least one change for the final Test in the Ashes series but it had been expected that either Chris Tremlett or Steven Finn would replace him.
Instead, Woakes and Kerrigan received their caps from Sir Ian Botham on the field at The Oval on Wednesday morning with Jonny Bairstow also missing out along with the injured Bresnan. The batting order would see Woakes come in above Matt Prior at No7.
England are looking to secure an historic win over Australia by recording.......
